Incredible India Prewedding Shoot

Rajasthan, a place which I’ve always wanted to visit and photograph in. Since starting my photography career, I’d see destination wedding photographers from all across the world document and capture some epic photos from Weddings in Rajasthan or pre-wedding shoot in Rajasthan.

Now is was my time to be labelled as a photographer who had the pleasure of photographing a pre-wedding shoot in Jaipur. After tones of research and planning, me and my amazing couple; Jugal & Cowshi made a two-day itinerary to cram in as many photography hotspots as we could in Jaipur.

We narrowed it down to about 8 locations to provide a variety of locations each with their own unique features. The itinerary was extremely tight with timings especially with the fact Jaipur during the day is like trying to navigate through London traffic at 5pm.

Our first stop was a morning sunrise shoot at Jal Mahal; a palace in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur city, the capital of the state of Rajasthan, India. Getting there for sunrise I spent a few minutes going up and down the road for a place to photograph. I found a view point of the palace with a small wall which I thought would be more practical than the others so we got out and started shooting. At this point in time, there was daylight meaning that the sun had risen but to my surprise it was nowhere to be seen. I had initially thought it was being the mountain in the distance then, whilst posing the couple, the sun peaked out from a cloud. We had then notice, the sun was in plain site since we got to the location but due to all the pollution in Jaipur, the sun was hidden behind a cloud of smog.

After a quick shoot, we headed to Amber Fort for its opening time. We thought getting there for when it opened gave us the best chance of photographing around the location without the heavy foot fall of tourist getting in the way. Again, or plan failed. We had to wait a while to get permission to shoot at the location with the guards restricting some of the gear I could take in. By the time we had started to shoot, there coaches of tourists arriving. When posing the couple, we’d get people asking the same questions and congratulation them on their wedding. It got to a point where people were coming in front of me to take pictures of the couple. The pictures that I had taken had crowds of tourists on each side which I managed to hold off for enough time to get the images. Once we had left the location, we went onto the amber fort hashtag on Instagram and there were photos from every angle of Jugal & Cowshi from the tourists haha.

I bet after reading all of this you just want to see the images? Your wish is my command, below are some of my favourites from Jugal & Cowshi’s epic two day pre wedding shoot/ engagement shoot in the beautiful city of Jaipur, India.
